OUTLINE OF EXPERIENCE
Planning & Masterplanning
Heathland Studio brings a depth of knowledge spanning landscape planning, masterplanning & environmental design across a wide range of projects.
This experience has developed through work on projects at multiple scales, from site-specific landscape design
to strategic planning frameworks supporting complex development proposals.
Collaboration
Our work has involved close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including architects, planners, engineers, ecologists & environmental consultants,
helping to integrate landscape considerations into the broader planning & design process.
Appraisals, Assessments & Feasibility Studies
A key focus of this work has been the preparation of landscape appraisals, feasibility studies & landscape frameworks that inform early-stage development planning.
By understanding landscape character, environmental systems & visual relationships,
these studies help establish clear opportunities & constraints that guide the spatial organisation of development.
Landscape frameworks & masterplans developed through this process often form the structural foundation for projects,
shaping the relationship between built form, open space, movement networks and ecological infrastructure.

Landscape Planning & Design Strategies
Professional experience has also included work supporting planning submissions through
landscape & visual appraisals, environmental design strategies and green infrastructure planning.

Technical Support & Project Management
In addition to strategic planning work, project experience extends to detailed landscape design and implementation.

Through Heathland Studio, this experience is now applied to new projects across Suffolk & the wider East Anglia region,
